Those are 16's on your car I believe. I would pick up a set of wheels, those 03' anniversay with the deep dish look pretty good, then I would take it to a muffler shop and have them cut the tip of your tailpipe off so it doesn't stick out fromt the bottom of the bumper, lower the car, and call it a day. Dual exhaust on V6's sound like shit. Unless you put some major cash into that car, it's not gonna be fast, and without an engine swap, it'll never REALLY be fast.

I dont know if its the view or not, but the first image looks like the lip is a lot deeper.
The ones on the black cobra are aftermarket, The ones on the red, are factory and don't have a deep dish. That black cobra looks nice.

The red vert looks like they are the Ford originals, which are not staggered. Mine are the knock-offs and they are staggered.

Even a nice $600-$700 exhaust wont make it sound good?

I do like those rims but what Ive been looking up is around the $1,000 price range.

The engines just don't have it in them to sound good. If you went dual exhaust, I would recommend using a factory catback from a GT. It'll keep it quiet, and you'll get the look, however, then for it to look right, you'd need a GT rear bumper. Again though, why dump a lot of money into a car when you know you won't get a dime back when trying to sell it?

Im not necessarily going for looks with the exhaust, I want it to have a deep sound. I guess it's just not possible...

And of the top of your head, does anyone know the size of the rims I currently have? 17"?
Your stock wheels are 16's, so you're going to need tires too. Those wheels would look good, as an alternative you can do 17's, but I would definitely go with 8-9" wheels in the front and 10 - 10.5 in back..

I honestly don't know much about how dual exhaust will sound on your V6 as I have not owned one.

This is my old 04 GT. It had the stock fronts wheels with 10.5" wide rears. Just to give you an idea.

believe it or not there is a big aftermarkey for that 3.8v6 you got in there, is it a auto or 5spd? if its an auto DO get a PROGRAMMER not a chip so you can adjust the trannys shift firmness and all that. a ford winstar is a great replacement intake, if you are brave then you can swap out the 3.8crank for a 4.2 crank outta a f150. its a direct swap and adds a shit ton of torque. hell you can add SuperCoupe heads and all kinds of shit.

read up on supersixmotorsports.com good luck.

It's an automatic... Like I mentioned, I'm not too knowledgeable on cars.
Just when I punch the gas it lags a second then takes off. It also doesn't take off too fast.
I know it's a V6 but I was just looking at chips that were around 500...?

The exhaust... I can get a 'fake' dual exhaust or a true dual exhaust.

I am possibly wrong, but I dont think they make true duals for v6's until the 05 model. Get the "fake" duals, maybe a factory Gt rear bumper and get some wheels. It looks like you have a good start there IMO.

I think there is a company that is making a cut and weld in dual for the v6's .. pretty much makes an h pipe then you just bolt of a cat back ..
