Kyle, the only reason the state is doing the surcharge amnesty is to get what money they can before surcharges are ruled unconstitutional which should be soon. Like stated before, it's double jeopardy.

Yeah its a load of shit, I believe the idea came from cali if I'm not mistaken, I paid all fines and fees for my dwi....plus they make you pay 1000 for 3 years just to keep your license I started to pay then saw the class action law suit and waited for this moment!!! And low and behold paid in full!!

I have a assload of surcharges to pay Texas. Not sure if this will apply to me. But im trying my best to get these damn things paid down to stay on the right side of Johnny Law! Its cheaper to follow the rules then to break them

If you know your dl #, last name,dob, and zip you good to go online and get an answer just as fast as you submit!

It only works if you had unpaid fines between 2005-2008 if I remember correctly. Anything recent will not qualify.

Unless the time between the OP's arrest and the actual date of conviction was REALLY long or he just hasn't been paying the surcharges for the last 3 years, his seems like it would be more recent than mine.

I dunno if this has been posted before but hell here it is...I just enrolled in this program and I now no longer have to pay my 2600.00 left in surcharges and get my license back!!! If you have surcharges and have been paying on them take a look at this

I got pulled over in Feb 08 charged with dwi in Sept 08 I started paying on my surcharges for almost a year after but quit paying after I heard about the lawsuit and shit so I said Fuck it and been riding dirty ever since til now!!!

That's nice to know. When it said I didn't qualify it said "Click here to pay your unpaid charges." I just laughed and closed the window. I just made a payment. I'm debating on whether or not it will be my last. The state is pulling this shit, and suing Amazon for hundreds of millions because of it's inability to manage itself properly.
