I avoid Wal-Mart during the day at all costs.
I actually enjoy going in there after midnight to people watch the tweakers. It gets really funny when one of them spots you doing it.
It gets hilarious when that someone shows up to the counter with Coleman fuel, acetone, hydrogen peroxide, and 8 years worth of matches only to notice that I am standing right in front of them eyeballing his cart.
This opens the chance to tell him he forgot his ephedrine and lye as I watch the color run from his face.

I was in the grocery store yesterday after work grabbing a some beer for after our MTB ride and the guy in front of me in line had 3 items on the cart.
1 loaf of bread
2 liter cream soda
1 can of dog food
And he paid in quarters.
In my mind I pictured him sitting indian style on the floor, eating a dog food sandwich and washing it down with cream soda and damn near died laughing right there behind him.

I live in Valley Ranch and the Wal Mart @ 635&MacArthur isn't usually too bad. However if you go to the one in South Irving you fucked up, that is the most white trash I've seen in one place since a nascar race. It is also the best place to play Wal-mart bingo!Originally posted by Nash B.Damn, man. Sorry to hear that. If it'll cheer you up, Geor swallows. And even if it doesn't cheer you up, it cheers him up.

And the one on 635 has all the same issues as the other one, no matter the time of day. It's just a different race that is the offending party.Originally posted by BradMBut, just like condoms and women's rights, I don't believe in them.Originally posted by LeahIn other news: Brent's meat melts in your mouth.

9-10pm shopping = in and out. No crowds. And I find the stockers at night are friendlier and actually know where crap is."Self-government won't work without self-discipline." - Paul Harvey

As far as the China imports - they leave out a fourth item.
The stuff may be manufactured over there, but its created, developed/engineered and marketed here in the States. Majority of the actual money stays here in the US.
Sucks for those in manufacturing, but outsourcing the manufacturing side is just an economic reality. The cheaper it costs to build, the more profit and more successful you can become.
(One of my clients has Walmart as a major vendor for their product - and export all their mfg to China. They are only a 60 person firm, but they do all of the creative/accounting/adminsitration work and are well paid across the board - expanding/growing like crazy too)
