  • Bill Nye the science guy

Wife and I at UTA to see Bill speak. Show sold out the same day they were available, but free. I feel so geeky.

Well. We had to get free tickets to limit people. Wife got them the day they were offered on line. I asked that night if she got three so could take my mentee. We tried to order another ticket and they were all gone.

                  Incredibly.

To the point that the nostalgia of his tv show can not overcome it. I lost all respect for him.

I thought it was enjoyable. He mentioned climate change and CO2 but it was brief. He said that we the college students needed to change the world by doing more with less. That change was going to come from science and engineering. He mentioned several solutions and scoffed at ocean alge. Which I believe is Al Gore's company.

                          Well, that's certainly insightful.

I saw him about 2 years ago at UNT, incredibly left winged then. Global warming was about 75% of his speech. Like Matt said, lost a ton of respect for him after that.
