yep I have a scratch pad in front of my keyboard with a pen. I write down notes for work Im doing all the time. I only go through maybe 2 pens a year though lol.

But yesterday I tried making a list of stuff I was working on at home and my handwriting has gone downhill bigtime and I was constantly scratching out mispelled words or other mistakes. It was horrible.

I have heard some schools don't even teach cursive anymore. Is that accurate?

I actually make them. I've made a few house calls and whipped up some custom jobs. I've noticed I'm not in the minority anymore.

I'd believe it from the way my 15 year old's writing.

Foodservice Manufacturer's Rep. I deal closely with consultants, GCs, and of course my customers. Several of the lines we rep build custom products, like walk in cooler/freezers, exhaust hoods, serving lines, etc. Which, of course, requires the submittal and approval process through the consultants and architects.

I take short hand and coded notes all the time, usually just whom I'm speaking with, any pertinent numbers, etc...

My son is in a private school, but most times, like for book reports and such, he's not allowed to turn them in if it's in print. Has to be in cursive.

I honestly think the only time I ever write anything down anymore is to make a list of things to do or pick up at the store. The most writing I do now is to sign my name on receipts at restaurants/stores.

Took this the second I read this thread, during a short break in class.

                        So yes. On a daily.
I even carry a little pad in my pocket about 80% of the time.
                        Fuck thats nerdy.

I only write to sign something.

Everything for work is through a computer and all my notes throughout the day are typed.

Best thing I did for myself was heavily organize all my notes and files.

All day everyday... I work in accounting and our office is "paperless", but I'm constantly making notes and markups by hand. When I finalize my workpapers it is all electronic, and most of my markups are done on PDFs.

Yup, still use pen and paper at work.

My 6th and 3rd grader are required to use cursive in their public school. Haven't heard of anything like that but I don't doubt it's true.
