best oil for a deep fryer??

Different oils have different smoking points, so it really does depend on what you are cooking.

Peanut oil is a good general oil to use, as long as you don't have a peanut allergy.

awesome, thanks for the link and tip for peanut.. I had soy oil in there but i have not been able to find any at the grocery store. So I'll look for peanut.

We just used that crisco vegetable oil grease in college. Ahhh, I miss that thing. Any food you could want in a matter of minutes.

We use a soy vegetable oil in our deep fryers. Sams sells it for ~$20 for 35lb jug.
