    RIP
Nah, she wore it well in that pic for that time. Granted, not many could pull it off, though.

Westboro Baptist Church to picket Elizabeth Taylor's funeral

Anti-gay Westboro Baptist Church is going to picket Elizabeth Taylor's funeral. The church boasts that they won't let the Hollywood screen legend rest in peace.

Maggie Phelps, daughter of church pastor Fred Phelps, tweeted: "No RIP Elizabeth Taylor who spent her life in adultery and enabling proud f***. They cuss her in hell today. #Westboro will picket funeral!"

The church has taken offense at Taylor's compassion for the gay community. The two-time Oscar Best Actress winner, an icon of the gay community, was an advocate for AIDS awareness. She helped start the American Foundation for AIDS Research (AMFAR).

The group has picketed other celebrities' funerals as well, including Michael Jackson and Heath Ledger.

Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) president Jarrett Barrios responded to Westboro's antics: "Fred Phelps and his vitriolic anti-gay followers are trying to exploit their 'faith' by spreading messages of hate at a time when Americans are grieving the loss of an extraordinary woman, actress and advocate."

"Overwhelmingly, communities of faith are starting to embrace lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender congregants and sending messages of equality for all."

"GLAAD is urging media to share Elizabeth Taylor's legacy with stories of hope and acceptance, and which highlight her life's work to create a world in which everyone is respected and valued for who they are."
