Well, this goes along with 8mpg's post. Any good local photography classes? (I'm in the Plano/Wyle/Richardson/Murphy section of Plano.

I've spent several thousands on my wife's gear and she learns - just slowly. Either way, she's not necessarily learning all the technicals and I think a classroom environment would suite her best. (hard to learn via web sites when she has no time to surf them - if I get her out of the house to learn that'll be different)
