The guy bid and won the auction - he should pay, plain and simple, cut and dry.

I did have a guy bid and win a riding mower engine, his mower mechanic called shortly after the auction ended and told him the trans was junk. He didn't want to invest all the money in it, so he offered to pay me $40 to cancel his bid. I did and gave a second chance offer to the next guy and sold it. Ended up making an extra $35 bucks or so. It worked out ok for me in that instance.

I have to call him tonight with wiring instructions. I understand that it is not over until money is received lol. I am well aware of this. The car doesn't move until money has been wired to my account that is only used for this and then cashed out and given to the owner. I have two phone numbers, an email address, is home address, and talked to him for about an hour last night. I am much more comfortable about this today.

Hell, I love how people buy used gear for more then new. Bid on 3 spotting scopes the last few days and they all went for equal to or more than new. Plus shipping. Boggles my mind.Originally posted by MR EDDU defend him who use's racial slurs like hes drinking water.

When it comes down to it. The worst that happens if he does not come through will be needing to relist it again or offering 2nd chance. I have never had a problem with ebay returning the listing fees when something goes wrong. They have always been willing to help. We all complain about ebays policies... but if you have good feedback and call them.. they have great customer service.

Well the guy is selling the car now. After he received the car he started emailing me with all these bogus problems of transmission not shifting, leaking everywhere, paint problems etc.
I asked him a few questions using my wife's ebay name to try and validate the negative feedback he left me stating the transmission was busted. He replied back saying transmission is great and he never had any issues with it. He also mentioned that the paint was perfect and that he had done nothing to i.
He eventually caught on to the emails and finally replied with a link showing our marriage asking if we were related lol.
I felt like asking how his wife's cancer was, but I really do not feel like getting too involved again. I am sure he still as our phone numbers and such.
He told me (before he figured out it was me) that the reserve is somewhere in the mid 20's.

Same shit happened with my 57 on there. The guy said his wife would kill him if he bought, I asked why the fuck he was even bidding then for!"You don't so much drive it, more like poke it with a sharp stick and channel the fury when you piss it off."
