If he is really calling you on the phone, it sounds legit. However don't forget that he probably has Bidsniper or something similar setup and that he didn't actually come in and bid himself in the last 10 seconds of the auction. Also be carefull putting anything in writing about charging to cover Paypal fees... he can dispute those w/ Paypal and if they can show that is what the overage charge is for...you will lose, you can't pass along paypal fees to the buyer.

Sounds scammish. It really sucks that in society these days people will use circumstances like this to scam people. On the flipside it sucks that the way society is, we have to be skeptical in circumstances like that as well. But in any case, Cover your ass.

Yeah, I hear ya. Just some red flags with a couple of the sentences in his emails. (I thought the dude was joking about the XXXXXXX for PN being a scam)

Yep just what I was thinking in my head. Lol. Like you said u had to of known she was sick before u bid because he stated she had cancer they just didn't know how bad.
