  • So why do my wife and I only have single friends

We live in Rowlett which is the old boring married couple capital of the world yet the majority of our friends are single. This growing up business sucks, I guess we have to start doing couples things now.

And no neither of us are banging the single friends. None of them would be worth it.

      Same problem here...

Long term relationship (bout to be married)
and almost all our friends are single and without kids.

      It sucks....
Hard to relate with single, childless folks with expendable income sometimes....

I have been stuck in the reverse. All are married, also with kids, so I do the going out alone and meeting whoever here and there.

I know we are boring. We don't go out to clubs and rarely go to any bars. During the week we both work a lot and when the weekend comes around we want to relax.

Actually we take our single friends out when we do go out. I'm sure they get tired of being a third wheel

We don't either. There is nothing in a club or a bar for a married couple but trouble. lol.

We had an awesome day today just relaxing, doing yardwork, working on the garden, went shopping, played with the baby outside enjoying the gorgeous weather. Now we're getting ready for dinner and waiting for the UFC to start. Living the dream!

As a single guy with the world at my feet, I'm jealous. Well, other than UFC, I could give a shit about that.

I vaguely remember how much fun single life was, care free etc. But honestly, I'd never want life any other way than it is now. I can't imagine how lonely it would be to go home to an empty house. My wife is my best friend in this world, we haven't spent a day apart since we got married in 02. Now we have lil Emma and nothing in this world could be better than her. The best part of my day is when she comes running out of her room in the morning with a big smile on her face and yells "Daddy!". She runs up, gives me a hug, watches Mickey Mouse Club while she eats her breakfast. It's an everyday thing and life couldn't be better.

You are the victim of wheel theft.

                            Your wheels were stolen.

That's my goal someday. I have my cousins kids, and there is nothing more exciting than hearing "Big AAAAAAA!" I got to read a story to Sophia at bed time last time I was in town, and I thought I was gonna melt. Single life is awesome, but highly over-rated.
