I am not one for harming dogs. I would call animal control
I had to deal with a shitbag neighbor and his dog. I had a Grand Cherokee that two of his dogs would attach. The bigger one was a Great Pyrenees, while the smaller was a pit mix. The GP would run full speed into the side of me. Chewed the shit out of my paint to the tune of $1800.
So I nicely asked my neighbor to put the dog up. His response was "that dog has been free his entire life, what do you want me to do, lock him up?" I said that would be a good start, then he went into some shit about dogs and kids having the legal right of way in the country. I talked to a contact of mine at the SO and was told I could handle it as needed because they didn't have county wide animal control. Tried on a number of occasions to bait the dog on to my property so I could James Byrd that white motherfucker, but he wasn't biting. I did get the pit.
We ended up selling before I could make that ball of white shit pay for his indiscretions.
Forgot about another method. My BIL's dad races high end pigeons for rich guy flying. They had a problem with strays getting to the birds and eating the eggs. He used this trick on snakes and on the dogs that the neighbors wouldn't put up, but he worked a fishing hook into an egg tied to fishing line. Whatever ate the egg would either get stuck on the line or tear itself up trying to get off. Very extreme, but he raises birds that sell for $50K +

Trash is abandoned propert that's why people can go take it from you.

Such disdain for their dog's safety is shocking. Everyone knows how big barn rats get in the country, and the amount of poison they can ingest before they die is a huge danger to loose livestock that might find the carcass can be huge. If a large animal like a dog got into it regularly it could be too late before anyone ever noticed anything was wrong. Poor animal probably hits the trash because he is ignored. from slate:
Though there is little data on lethal-dose levels for humans, much more is known about how much brodifacoum is necessary to kill a dog. Pets, unfortunately, frequently eat rodenticides, so veterinarians have years of experience caring for accidentally poisoned canines. The rule of thumb for dogs is that a lethal dose consists of between 0.2 and 4 milligrams of brodifacoum for every kilogram of body weight. So, a 75-pound dog would need to eat more than 4 ounces of d-Con mouse poison to approach the bottom end of that range.A 15-year-old Wisconsin boy has been charged with attempted murder for slipping mouse poison into his family's food over a five-week period. His...
I feel sorry for the dog, it just wants to be a dog.
