    • Im not sure who was at fault here, Her or the guy, But it sounds like a accident to me. Just annoying that these days you lose your freedom & everything you will ever get in your life over a accident that seems to really be neither persons fault. I do think their should be a cap on what is awarded victims. But im not the victim either & not standing in the family shoes, Just seems a steep price to pay

They are illegal. Center of the factory headlights can't be higher than 54" off the ground.

Sounds like something most people that want to have an assault weapons ban...

That's simply to combat blinding oncoming traffic, though I do believe that there are regulations on bumber height as well.

Apples and oranges. I'm all for safety regulations such as bumper height, though I don't think that truck lifts in general should be banned. There's a big difference in banning/regulating what you do in your free time away from others, as opposed to general traffic safety, where other motorists are involved.

Just because someone thinks that it would be cool to add 4' steel spikes to the front of their vehicle, doesn't mean that it should be legal on public roads.

Dont see it that way. It's hypocrisy at best.

Regulate one thing and preach how unsafe it is and regulation, but freedom and no regulation for the other. Only difference is one has a constitutional backing.

They have the same type of regulations for lowered vehicles, lame!

And "bumber" you advertise on craigslist a lot don't you?

That is MODIFYING something. You don't MODIFY an already high capacity magazine. Quit stretching.

Are you modifying the actual firearm? No. In the case of the truck you are modifying the stock suspension of a truck. Suspensions aren't made to be interchangeable at that height, you "Modify" them. I know, semantics, but hey David wants to argue semantics. BTW, I'm not arguing about some small body lift either.

                        • We can go into firearm modifications all night long.

Like I said hypocrisy at best. Regulate one, not the other. All deadly in the wrong hands. Bitch about rights on one end cry safety on another. Same thing the anti gunners push out.

For a Gun owner, you sure play more of a lawyer side of things. There should be limits and regulations on everything. This isn't free reign-ville where you should be able to do what the fuck you want. On this certain subject, you have one thing that is a privilege, and one that is a right. Take off your litigator hat and look deeper. As far as "Gun rights" There ARE limits and regulations, there doesn't need to be any more.

I just like looking at the entire picture and seeing how people focus on one direction with a subject matter but sway on a different subject matter.

I get one is a right and one is a privilege. But if your for regulation on one why not the other? In the end the results are the almost the same.

There is regulation on guns and it's strictly enforced, I don't feel that we need more. You also have I guess? regulations on this vehicle matter (height), but apparently that's not so enforced. What's the problem here? I don't see where I favor one over the other, or vice versa?
