More like a cost cutting move, just like the chrome caps on the wheels. Its 2011, no new vehicle should have drum brakes any more. Hell my $16k econobox I bought in 08 had rear discs.

Park inside your garage, that's what they're for. Problem solved.

If you own your home, then that truck is probably the 2nd most expensive thing you own. Why would you leave it outside? Would you leave your TV or your PC out there? I know I'm in the minority when I say I have parked in my garage every night since day one. I know it is a trend to park $45k vehicles outside while your $500 worth of junk is nice in safe, packed in the garage. I also would never buy a vehicle that doesn't fit in my garage.

              To each his own.

Maybe it doesnt fit? Lots of homes still dont fit a full size truck.....
Not speaking for him, but not everyone is a dfwmustangsbillionare with a 2,000sqft garage.

If you bought a car that doesn't fit in your garage....you have other issues to address besides thieves.

Yes I know about these little piss-ant garages on new homes, it's stupid. For me, it was a deal breaker for the house or the car if they didn't fit. I would take measurements and even test fit, because it was ver important to me.

So your garage is already full with cars? Shit man I guess it's time to upgrade to a three car garage home, or dig a moat and fill it with sharks with friggin laser beams on their heads. I have had my share of thieves, and I will take every step to not be a victim again.

The truck fits, the wifes Tahoe is in the way along with all the other crap. I am by no means bragging but I live in a nicer neighborhood, theft is a problem. The police station is right across the street. It is what it is, yes my insurance will pay for it. Hell I left my Camaro out several times and no problems........my previous truck was the same body style on factory 20's and I had no problems ever. I had every wheel from 24-18's on it.

Trust me man, it is the norm, and our thinking is considered abnormal. Half the reason I bought a house was for the garage. Somewhere to keep my car clean, secured, and easy to access on rainy and cold days. People are just wired differently I guess.

Yeah it appears the only detturant is to restrict their access because they move quickly. The chevy wheel thing has been a big problem. My cousin lives in a nice hood in McKinney and fell victim. They scout it out, come by once and loosen all the lugs, leave, come back and yank them. They also take third rows from tahoe so look out.

Best of luck to ya, and chances are they WILL be back, so set up a sting!

My money's on someone at the dealer, either followed you home or had access to you address through paper work. Maybe make ready or something, IMO someone from the dealer.
I had my work trailer broke into the 3rd day I was in business at one of my past accounts. Took me a couple weeks to replace the equupment. I knew it was someone from the account, but couldn't prove it.
Went back after I replaced my equipment, some worker was just staring at my gen. and compressor.
That weekend, Sun. night they came to my house and cleaned me out again. Woke up to go to work and had nothing to go to work with. All within a month, I can't stand a thief, so now I don't carry a gen. and I box in the trailer and bought a few 9mm. plus surveilance. I wouldn't think twice if I cought a thief to shoot'em.

If My people, which are called by My name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Man that sucks, the whole "can't have nice things" pretty much applies all the time these days. That is a nice looking truck man, setup some surveillance and have your gun ready. That's awesome the cop told you to shoot them, fuck them, go earn an honest living. Though they will probably get what they deserve at some point, more and more people are getting tired of shit.

I don't miss being in or anywhere around a big city for this very reason.
