I like to talk sheet, but I'd probably just call the cops and watch them on the camera because it's not worth killing someone over freaking wheels as nice as it sounds. However, if they hop the fence and run towards the house when the cops show up, they will probably die.

Ya know, I figured I'd roll the dice. The cops will NEVER show up in time to arrest them. I figure if opportunity presents itself I will draw down on them. (this all assumes they are in the driveway, NOT the garage. The garage is as good as being in my house to me)

I figure they'll either run, fine.

Submit, fine.

Or turn on me, which will be a problem for them.

The reality is every time my things have been stolen, I've been sleeping peacefully w/o a clue.

The cop told me to shoot them, it was criminal mischief at night so I wouldnt get in trouble. He said I could shoot them if they were stealing the rain gutter off the side of my house, same thing.

I damn sure dont wanna put more new tires and wheels on it, that would suck for them to get shot over some tires and wheels. You know they're gonna come back.

The only silver lining for you this time is that they did not jack up anything that will be jacked up going forward. Meaning, you know when they bust windows and rip your whole dash out to get a head unit - the dash will always rattle in someway or another from that point forward. That sort of thing, in this case it probably will be as good as new when you're done.

I live in a very quiet secluded neighborhood and my next door neighbors 2011 Cadillac Escalade got the factory 22" wheels stolen on Saturday night. Looked exactly like yours does (except the planter blocks were a red color). It wasn't even my car but pissed me off so bad.

The crew(s) doing this are really good. If the cops pull them over before the hit, they have zero tools or other equipment thieves would have because they typically use the jack, lugnut wrench, and cinder blocks/landscaping blocks of the owner and/or neighbors. Then they load the wheels up and they're gone.

A neighbor got his Tahoe hit with the factory 20" a few months after I had mine stolen and another neighbor right next door had installed security cameras (before I put mine up) and at 3:15am my neighbors camera caught a previous gen white Escalade driving down the alley slowly. It was at the same time that my neighbor (an IT night owl guy) in front of my house saw a guy standing in my side yard apparently as a look out. My front neighbor called the cops and within a minute or two, the guy in my side yard started walking down the side yard and here is where it gets a little creepy. My neighbor's camera then sees him come into view. He stops, pulls a hood over his head and the very next step he takes, my side motion light pops on. The dude knew EXACTLY when my side motion light would come on. It was creepy. He then nonchalantly walks down my driveway and down the alley towards the house where they were trying to steal the wheels to the Tahoe from the other neighbor.

Cops show up 2 minutes later and they are gone. They didn't get the wheels, but they had already smashed out the side window and had the cinder blocks ready to put up.

So....what that means is either the lookout saw something that creeped him out or they have a freaking police scanner. These guys unfortunately know what they are doing.

Yeah they have scanner apps now for the phones, so it's not even like it costs money or is bulky to have around. The delay is not drastic either.

Welcome to the cinder block club! Mine was in the shop for a week because they scratched the bumper when it rolled off the blocks. The funny thing is those Texas edition wheels are plastic. Or the chrome part is a plastic insert. I got a new pair from chevrolet when mine were stolen and thats when i found out how cheaply those wheels were made. You'd think the thieves would steal their own 24" hoopty wagon wheels instead of some cheap plastic chevy truck wheels. Here you can see the chrome insert

Why does a $35k truck have drum brakes? OP, buy some 18" oem replacements so it doesnt happen again. The GM 07+ 20 & 22s are always getting jacked.
