  • Anyone Do Sand/SodaBlasting??

Looking at getting the center part of my wheels stripped/blasted, anyone do sand/soda blasting?
    I
If so could I get a quote please? I called a co. called Soda Solutions, they gave said $25 a wheel but they had a $325 minimum. So needless to say i still need it done.

I can remove them and tape them off.
    Thanks!

Dunno if this is an option or even a good product, but HF has a soda blaster for 129 right now. Supposedly great for small jobs. Looks like you just need a compressor.

I've actually stood there in HF staring at this for a while. I have a compressor, just wondering if it had the stripping power for my wheels.
So I read some reviews and decided not to buy it. If I read some better reviews I think I'd buy it, cause I would be soda blasting a ton of stuff. lol
I appreciate it and may look into it again, wonder if i get it and it doesn't strip them if I could return it.

And if you have them do it, that should meet the $325 minimum for me. LOL
Then mention cool cat's Ford 68 valve covers and air cleaner and maybe we can get a descent discount.
And I'm sure I could find some more stuff as well.

I just finished blasting my '66 coupe. I engineered the system myself for about $40. I used the same gun used for bedliner applications, fabbed up some nozzles, bought some fittings and some hose, and it worked perfectly. It wasn't any fun at all but well worth the work, zero rust.

I've never had a problem returning things there. Most were 30 dollar or under items though.

Sandblasting is something I will gladly pay for.

Check out Able Sandblasting in Dallas. Very fair prices and they have a $40 minimum. Had a 18' car trailer done for $300
