Frisco Police Mustang

Hey all,

I bought a 1990 SSP Mustang that has Frisco Police on the buck tag. I contacted Frisco and their looking for information on it. They think it might have been a DARE car, but I've never known of any agencies ordering a car new for DARE use. I was wondering if any of you recall seeing a 1990 Mustang from Frisco Police in the early 90's.

I doubt it, Frisco was pretty damn small back then.

I could have sworn I saw one at a funeral in the mid 90's, but it wasn't a DARE car. It was just a smooth top patrol. Probably original use was a 121 jockey.

I want to preserve the SSP and it's place in automotive history.

The Colony pd used one up until the early 2000s.. maybe its really from there

It has a Frisco Police buck tag from Ford.

Come to think of it, that Caprice (green and white) is probably what you're looking for.

I was a reserve Police Officer back then for Frisco and yes they had the Mustang. The car was used to run traffic up on 380 and 289. It was white with blue decals the officer drove the hell out of it.
