Brown rice.

Quinoa is loaded with protein, however. If you're talking strictly rice, I'd say brown rice. But Quinoa is even better than that.

wild, whole grain or brown rices are better sources of fiber

They are also more complex carbohydrates which the body burns over longer periods.


Long grain is better for a side dish, as it's fluffier and more like rice you are used to

Medium grain is good for stuffings or risottos as it's creamier

short grain makes sticky rice like sushi rice
