    Where to take the kids for spring break

    taking off thur/fri and have the weekend to do something with the kids for spring break. still havent decided what to do. wanting to do something close and driving distance. kids are 5 and 10, so padre island not really an option just yet...

    been to san antonio many times, really not warm enough for galveston, etc... been to great wolf lodge a few times, not a big fan of six flags and their long lines....

    GWs exotic animal park, archduke wilderness drive through safari (both right next to each other). Speed zone. Zero gravity.

      DO NOT go to Great Wolf Lodge on Spring Break!!!

      Why don't you run up to Turner Falls in OK or Possom Kingdom for some fishing/camping? I can't be in the States, so I'm just meeting up with them in Jamaica at the Beaches Resort.

        i really wanna take them to turner falls, but i was thinking maybe later when it warms up a bit. isnt that the main thing is to swim in the water?

            You can climb mountains and dick around at turner falls. Plus it's right down the road from the two places I listed that are alot of fun.

                Just got back from camping with 4 and 6yo they had a great time!

                Go rent a cabin somewhere if you are setup with Camping gear. There's still openings out there

                  sounds terrible Denny- hope you survive! LOL----j/k- have a great time.

                  there's the usual crap- Six Flags, Fair Park has some cool museums (Science one my kiddo loves), Dallas World Aquarium etc. as far as in town. Turner Falls would be fun, but probably too cold to swim- camping should be fine though. There's the usual Galveston crap, but I hate the beaches there, not sure if Schlitterbahn is open there yet or not.
