As a buyer, I don't mind using email. I wouldn't post my number either.

I've been thru it too. You have to expect it selling on CL. I try to arrange a meeting place around the corner and have them call me to find out where I am. When I get the call I'm there in a few minuets.

Thats one of my biggest pep peeves! When I tell people I will do something it gets done, no matter what. Lately on CL all I have been getting is flakes that piss me off.

Had a Teksid block and heads for sale for $300 last month and got one flake after another. Lost out on sales by telling people that someone else was coming..... that never showed. I get crazy low ball offers and I gave up and told this one dude I would take the $200 he offered. Now he wants it for even less cause he dont want the heads. Hell, I dont want them myself! LOL. I tell the dude I will strip it but I still want $200 cause the heads are only scrap to me as I have no use for yet another set of B series DOHC heads. Dumbass then says he can get another Teksid block already machined for $250 so I let him know he should get it and to stop wasting my fuggin time.

Had another douche that wanted me to load it in the trunk of my Mark VIII and meet him 60 miles away! Screw that! People are idiots.




Heres an even better one. I was selling TWO 32" TVs for $60. Thats $60 for them both. Dude says he wants the dark grey one and has the $60. I tell him he gets both for the $60 and now all the sudden all he wants to pay is $25 for the one TV and then starts being a dick. Told him to fock off and die in a fire.

Email is a PITA to me! I have to copy it & paste it & then wait for a reply. I dont have 3 days to make a deal on a $100 or $200 item. I would rather just text the guy, I rarely get calls & get more texts when I post stuff for sale! I also have had some good luck lately on CL.

I hate when I get people who make me a offer & then try & tell me that I need to take their offer cause nobody else is going to pay that. Im thinking to myself your texting me man. Then turn aroud & sell it the next day. But I do alot of business on CL, No sales tax & you can negotiate the deal to some degree with in reason of their asking price.

I actually have one! I get email replys & facebook replys, Its actually annoying. But its great for business. I still do alot of business through my phone on email cause there are people like yourself who do business that way & I can that. So im preparred either way.
