The aftermath new sites

Jose is my boy, but I think another DFWstangs spinoff will just be left out to dry. Everyone has already migrated here, and the look/feel here is the same as before. His new site will need something to draw people in, and unfortunately, this place is already like DFWS used to be. This site will be tough to compete with, especially since he's gunning for the same user community.

I'm staying. This site has really taken off, and it has a familiarity to it. With the best of the gene pool from dfws, s.o. pictures, and the gold digger thread, I think it's established.

There's not enough time for that. It's hard enough having two. Everyone used to all be on one site-we should be able to party/gtg just like we used to.

Well one thing that helped it my post count staying the same & most of my JOIN DATE!

If this site takes off. People will really know the old members from the new members. But its going to take word of mouth for this site to be sucessful & also they need to get the Classfieds section up to par like the old site with the pics up when you go to classfieds showing the newest posted cars for sale or parts

I'm not sure how much of the old Classifieds was completely custom. I know Chris did write a lot of that code, but I'm not sure if there were vBulletin templates he started from

I say give things time. I think some of you are missing the point, Jose and KJ didn't create the site to be another DFWS or another DFWmustangs, they want something different. Will there be some similarities? Sure, but they want a different feel to the site to attract a more diverse crowd. You're all welcome to go and sign up if you like, it's open to anyone but know it's not going to be another DFWS.

Kinda busted my bubble - I don't plan to migrate to the other new forum, especially considering I don't know the clique that is the core or the site, but now I feel like I'll "miss out" on something since there will be two sites now.

I think it's a bit douchebag-ish to start another site just to say "look at me, I was wronged and now I made MY site", but oh well. I'm staying here until there's a compelling reason to migrate to yet ANOTHER site.

I just hope everyone sticks together and the "family" doesnt get fractured because of the new site. I see no reason that should happen though, I think pretty much everyone who is here will stay here and just participate on both board if they choose.

This is my new home, but I will check out the other board also.
