EL PASO, Texas -- An El Paso Police Department officer who was accused of sexually assaulting a woman while he was on duty was fired Monday.
El Paso Police Chief Greg Allen terminated Zake Rivera based on the allegations brought up by a female victim, police said.
According to an arrest affidavit obtained by KFOX-14 Rivera escorted the alleged victim to the back seat of his patrol unit, where he "had the victim perform oral sex on him without the victim's consent." The paperwork also alleged that "evidence was located and collected from the victim's clothing." The report said the evidence contained DNA linking Rivera to the alleged crime.
Rivera was arrested and booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility on Feb. 25 on one count of sexual assault stemming from an on-duty incident.
