Police said this morning that they had contacted the driver of the motorcycle that went down on eastbound I-20. He said he didn't need medical attention.

The incident began when an officer conducting a traffic stop on the westbound side of the highway saw a group of motorcyclists buzz by on the eastbound side.

Later, one of the motorcyclists flagged down the officer to tell him that one biker had crashed. Police found the bike but no driver.

The eastbound side of I-20 was shut down for more than two hours as police conducted an "exhaustive" search for the driver, Arlington police spokeswoman Tiara Richard said.

It's unclear whether the motorcycle's owner was driving it at the time.

wtf he didn't need medical attention and just went home?? Causing the mess on twenty and not giving a damn about everyone looking for him? Sounds like a selfish douche...

He was probably drunk or high on something and didn't wanna get arrested. He can and should still be prosecuted for fleeing the scene of an accident. Several years ago my younger cousin wrecked out in a single car accident after a night of drinking and fled the scene afraid of getting caught drunk. He was charged with fleeing the scene of an accident and also for public intox..he got off the DWI charge since they couldn't place him in the car.

my guess is that the steering stabilizer kept the bike going straight.

Katt Williams was the rider. Its that he so small you couldn't tell he was on the bike but he looked to be part of the bike. Quote " I hit one good time " " it spun me around rotisserie style " end quote

I worked a fatality motorcycle accident back in 1994 where the rider was westbound 183 taking the soutbound 360 ramp. He had been drinking and took the curve too fast and hit the sand/gravel that was still on the shoulders from the previous icy weather. The bike was about 200 yards down the ramp from where the rider had impacted and died. The bike was still running and upright leaning on the inside concrete barrier.

Some motorits were doing CPR when I arrived, but I knew he was gone because his eyes were cloudy. We continued CPR until MedStar arrived and prounounced.

Even with a good stabilizer, I don't see a bike coming down without a rider going 40-50 (if he slowed down) coming down with a rider coming of going straight, though that's the only plausible reason that I can think of. Unless he was skitching behind and let go. Though that doesn't explain the gear that they found.

he was probably a newb on it and was hauling ass and when he sat straight up the wind probably blew him right off, thats the only way i can think of that would keep the bike going straight, if he would have fallen off to one side the bike would have tilted and fell with him
