So bothering every one in an enclosed public establishment with your carcinogens is a right? The right is allowing you to do that in an environment where it doesn't annoy people.

The better poll question Is how much motherfucking god damn slut cock whore anal control are we going to give the government ?

The answer skidmark is no. Fuck, you might as well bring back prohibition. It's about our freedom to choose. I don't understand what is so difficult to understand about that.

You have plenty of options where you can go and 'not be bothered by carcinogens'.

Your choice is to smoke outside, not smoke at all, or don't go to a bar or restraurant.

That's not what the law says now.

I am really just playing devils advocate. I really don't give a shit either way. Just don't come in my home and smoke.

Actually, it's not. In Dallas and Ft Worth, I don't have options where I can go and bother people with carcinogens.

Non smokers have options. Smokers don't have options. It's not as circular as you think, because it's completely one sided.

The argument is not about the smokers right to smoke in restaurant/bar it is about the owners right to choose, not to be told by the government either way.

Which is just another symptom of what's wrong with this county.

This is the big issue at heart, but plenty in the other thread simply don't understand that.

I have to say, poll results thus far have surprised me.

                              No. Because smoking is cool.

Seriously though, it should be up to the bar owner. Like stated before, if a bartender is bitching.....sounds like they didn't think their employment decision through very well. If non-smoking customers are bitching, again, what did you expect? You're in a bar.

It seems to me that the government has more of a right to tell people not to smoke on a street paid for by the tax payers that elected them then they do to tell someone if they can smoke in a privately owned establishment.
