I got a good friend that works warrants over there and he loves it. I have thought about going there a few times myself.

Lots of people fish out of Rowlett creek idk why since it smells from the water treatment plant. There's a great mix of restaurants around and plenty of hole in the wall places. Rowlett Rd is watched like hawks by the police so beware of speeding through there. The police are good people at least the ones I've met/talked too.
ALL of the Bush construction zones are 30 mph, for the most part all the major roads are 40 mph, and the smaller residential streets are 30 mph.

Live here for 11 years, it's not Oak Cliff, but it will do

No problems here. Lived here 3 years and it's not bad. Lake and bike trail are close as well as the mall with a few restaurants. Live in a newer community and it's quiet

Rowlett is where everyone from Mesquite moves who can afford to bypass Garland. The roads suck and the police have nothing better to do than harrass people on the road for minor traffic infractions.
