  • Aldi's

    My wife and I have really been comparing prices between Aldi's and WalMart and hands down, Aldi's comes up cheaper and most of the time, better quality stuff. There is nothing we have tried that we did not like.

    Aldi's saltines = $.79
    eggs = $.49
    sport drinks = $.79
    milk = $.99
    various box cereal - $1.89 - $2.99

        They must be better in TX than OK, there is one down the street from our house. It's great for getting enough for a meal or two, could never do all of our shopping there though.

          We get some stuff from there too. Those $.79 sport drinks are just like a blue Monster IMO....and what, a 1/3 the cost? They also have some really good canned stuff....I like their refried beans and some of their soups too. Crackers are good, but their chips kinda suck.

            I love that I can get some of our stuff there cheap, but I gotta go to Central Market for my produce!

              Anybody had their frozen pizzas? I strolled through once out of curiosity and saw they had big ass pizzas for like 5 bucks.

                It's ALDI. There's no apostrophe in the name.

                      Honestly ALDI kicks ass. It's cheaper and way faster.

                      It does not have the variety though.

                      If you have an ALDI near you, and have a Costco membership, and join your local farmer's market, you will rarely if ever have to set foot in the hell known as Wal Mart .

                        I have a costco membership, just no costco within a 30+ minute drive.

                          My wife went there for the first time recently and brought home quite a bit and told me how cheap it was.... I then saw a bunch of no-named stuff and thought "great, more nasty bland shit... thanks" but turns out it's not too shabby at all.

                            I don't know. I could find prob just about everything there. Unless you are really brand loyal to something or want more choices for some things, I can't think of anything we just "had" to get somewhere else. Except now, it might have to be cheese. I like how the shopping cart lets you put two kids in the seat instead of just one.

                            I went to the one in Bartlesville, OK and looked the same as here.

                              We have been going there and I thought the same thing. It has turned out to all be pretty damn good.
                              Somehow I pay a lot less taxes there too. On a $260 purchase I paid $2 in taxes, and it wasn't all food.
