My boss told me not to worry about finishing out the rest of the day, so I rolled out after lunch and took the rest of the day off !

Either one. I have a shop I can work out of, but I'm mobile, so going to different shops, etc isn't a problem.

Congrats man! The cream always rises to the top. There may be some tough days ahead, but it will be worth it in the end. I may have some work for you soon bud, and I still have this damned thing I need to get to you. Consider it a "getting started again" gift that I hope you can use.


BTW, I met a guy the other day that reminded me of you, a real talented painter and striper named Ken Smith. Know him?

I knew I made the right decision to quit my job when I made as much money in less than 8 hours today striping a flame job as I would have ALL WEEK at the last job !! And I've got 3 jobs to do tomorrow ! Just gotta keep 'em rolling in !

Yeah, after I told him I was putting in my notice he also said, "oh your pinstriping work is fantastic, I was surprised you even took this job !"......but he had never even seen any of my work until after I had worked there for a while. He said that with a smug, asshole-ish grin on his face, too.

That table is awesome. Not real big on the base, but I love the striping.
