A lot of people talked shit about them and whatnot.....I went out on a limb and bought an iPad-1 last spring (had it about ~9 months now), and as a diehard PC-based guy, I'll have to say that this is still one of the coolest devices I have purchased! It doesn't replace my laptop, but instead has a more comfortable place for when I am just sitting on the couch or even laying bed.....all-in-all its very good for dicking around with anything internet related. However I do have my work email over Exchange Server synced up to it too, and that is really nice to get me out of my office. ALOT of really cool apps for it, and the battery life is outatanding too.
