No, not Canada. I'm talking true ghost towns. Watched a special the other day on boomtowns and ghost towns and was curious if anybody had ever been to one. I think it would be pretty cool to see stuff like that. According to Wikipedia, there's tons of them in Texas. Seems as if a lot of them have just been built over though.

My family and I visited one near the Grand Canyon when I was a kid. We had a real crazy encounter with some old prospector who thought we were there to steal the gold he claimed was around those parts. He locked the whole family up in the ghost town jail and stole our car. We were able to get out and my dad tracked the guy down and was able to convince him that we were no threat to him or his prospecting.
No sooner did we get out of that mess, when we finally got to the Grand Canyon, my little sister and I got lost chasing some elusive little Indian(feather) kid around. Turns out the kid was on the run because he was afraid to tell his grandpa that he wanted to be an astronaut when he grew up. Once again, my dad saved the day by talking with the Chief and then we all partied down with him and his tribe and he gave us all cool Indian names. I'm pretty sure the maid fucked one of the tribe butcher while we were there.
