I bet money your daughter plays with it for a month, then it sits and rots. Ask me how I know.

Not worth it, IMO. My cousin gave me on that was similar, and we had to disassemble, move, and reassemble. It was a major pain in the ass.

Keeping it in larger sections is great, but then you have to carry those sections out to a trailer (which we would have to try and borrow). And there is no chance of a trailer getting onto our back-yard so that would require more carrying of said large sections.

Saving $200 but having to mess with taking it down does not seem like it would be worth it to me. I would rather buy a smaller set new and only have to dick with it once. It's so damn hot during the summer that it would get little use IMO anyways.
You can break it down a little further if it will just be you leah and a truck. Take a marker with you and number what goes where. Keep all your parts in ziplocks. Easy task bro.

I helped build this exact swing set about 4 years ago over at my buddies house in Red Oak. It took us about two days and was a pretty good build. His kids do love it though. Are you sure about the savings I thought they cost a bit more to build then that?

I completely agree with that as well. Her daughter has been dying for a swing set, and I would like to do something, but I think we'd be better off just getting a cheapie metal swing set.. Hell, I could easily build a little "play house" to go with it. I think we'd still be out less cash and it would be less work.

I would like to pull up the deck surface this year and replace the wood, and could easily use that old wood to build a fort or something.

IDK, that's what the ad says, that it's $449 new.

Uncomplicated maybe, but I disagree with easy.

BTW.. i would have to borrow a truck too.

I have one, but a different brand, from Sam's. It was about $1k and 30 hrs to assemble from scratch.

                        Whether it's worth it, ....maybe?

I'm sure we could borrow a trailer fairly easily. Her Mother also had a longbed F350 we could use. That's the easy part. And I HATE asking for people to help on stuff like that.

Again, I could go buy a brand new metal tube set for $99, then build a "playhouse" out of scrap lumber I have on hand. Less work, just as functional, and at least then we would get a new deck out of the deal too.

I also wouldn't be so frustrated when she grows tired of it after a week.
