Someone on the old site said that they get 3-5 hours on their EVO, that is where I got my impression that the battery life sucks that and my brother and his wife both have the Captivate and they both get about a day. I can charge my iPhone 4 on Friday before I leave out of town, use it Fri/Sat and most of Sunday before I have to charge it Sunday night.
Android to me seems like a bootlegged OS loaded on an even shittier piece of hardware.

Captivate. Great phone IMO. The fact that it's samsung and android alone should make you want it. The fact that it has kickass features just add to it's awesomeness. Oh, and they'll warranty it.

Battery life is superior as well!

shittier hardware? they have a dual core snapdragon processor running 1.5ghz, lol they had to turn the a4 chip up to hit 1ghz on the ipad. The iphone4 is also turned down a little bit to save battery life. LOL

they're a neat novelty, but iphones aren't anywhere near as awesome as their following would lead you to believe.

I'd say that Android will eventually become the "Google" of mobile phone software. Microsoft still makes some awesome products but they don't really have the same cutting-edge, innovative image that Google does. Yes, I know that Android is a Google project/product.

I was only referring to them as the "Microsoft" of the mobile OS platform in the sense of market share dominance.

Samsung phones are pieces of shit! I have owned multiple different types from basic phones to the Focus I have right now. They feel like flimsy, cheap pieces of shit. I had 3 different phones with different issues before they finally got me the current Focus I am using.
I don't jailbreak my iPhone so I do not give a shit about it being open source.

i've held an iphone4, owned a 3gs, also helpd sprint/at&t/t-mobiles versions of the galaxy s. They all have a solid, great feel to them. the iphone feels a little better due to being made of glass, BUT WHY THE FUCK WOULD YOU WANT A PHONE MADE OF GLASS?

What the fuck does me not being a power user have to do with knowing how long a fucking phone holds a charge?
My 3gs was jailbroke and was a pain in the ass if you ever wanted to update it. I could give two shits less about anything that the jailbreak offers on the 4.xx OS to deal with that shit.
