CJ, I have purchased most of my furniture from Haverty's and everything has held up very well. (had for almost 10 years now). We just purchased this group from them a few months ago and LOVE them! They are so comfortable, they're bigger than most and all end pieces recline. On the love seat, it has the cup holders, storage and both ends rock AND recline independently. This group also has a sectional available-which we almost got-but we wanted to do the living room different this time.

I guess what my concern is now Leah would be does Haverty's still make furniture as good as they did 10 years ago Overall right now they are the best piece I've found, and I'm seriously considering it, however it's a whole hell of a lot of money, and I want to be damn sure I'm not overpaying since I can't negotiate with them at all.

I'll write that down and take a look for sure.

I would say yes. They threw in the 5 year 'no questions asked' warranty after I bawked and told her no. She came back and said she wanted to get approval to throw that in because everyone always ends up needing it. Whatever, that's sales. But I've always liked their furniture and have never had any problems with it. I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them again now or in the future.

CJ, they've also got them marked down right now for Thanksgiving. I may have a coupon for them, too. I'll look. We paid a little over $2k for the couch and loveseat. I really think you get what you pay for in furniture. I'm not saying what we got was high end or anything, but I wouldn't buy a $500 leather couch. That's all I'm saying.

Wife and I went to all those places looking for living room and breakfast room furniture. We ended up with Haverty's because we liked the styles they had, the quality of the product (read reviews of their furniture standing up to a lot of abuse), and were willing to negotiate a little on price. It's only been 6 months since we got our living room and dining room set, but they've been really comfortable and have withstood my stupid ass jumping on them and tripping on them in the dark. we didn't want leather, though. The only thing that's "leather" are the seating surfaces and seat backs on the breakfast room chairs.

I went through all that on bonded. Ended up spending 3100 on a couch and love seat that wasn't bonded. Looks like new 8 years later. I went through Ashley, and yes they will negotiate.

Actually, the love seat broke twice in the last few months. It's the recline lever that failed (both sides, about 2 mo apart).

The first one they were able to fix, the second one they needed a part. But they no longer make the one we got so they gave us a choice of $500 cash and we keep the old stuff, or they would give us $x in store credit to replace them.

We are having them replaced and getting a sectional instead. They will be picking up the old ones and delivering the new one next week.

Other than that, no major issues. The leather on my side has faded a lot on the headrest and a couple other places that my skin touches. They would not cover that as they say it's regular wear and tear.

This is the new one we are getting:

This one isn't leather but looks and feels like suede. Supposedly it's easier to clean and all that.

Glad we got that warranty thrown in!

I bought the the normal couch and 2 seat deal with cup holder like that last year and love it. My only complaint is that it is a magnet for dog hair, but I got the animal attachment for my dyson and it does a good job of getting it off.
