Active Shooter in Dallas

During the work day I rarely hear from my wife as we both have jobs that keep us busy all day so when she calls I answer as she doesn't call for trivial details.

She called not long ago to tell me that there is an active shooter in her building and that they were under lock down. Shots have been fired. Her office is on the 3rd floor with the apparent situation happening on the 5th floor. This kind of news i have never expected to hear.

The police pushed through the doors in her area and escorted her and the people in her work area outside to the parking lot.

I used to get news on this site faster than any news outlet.

Everyone was finally able to leave if they didn't need to go back inside the building to get their keys.

Still no real information about what was happening. Some people said they heard two shots. Some heard nothing. Some said that an individual was apprehended. Some said that it was all a hoax. The story will come out eventually. What is fact is that while there was a heavy police presence but no actual ambulances

It turns out that it may have been a hoax or over-reaction. Still never a fun day when men come through the building with guns drawn, flashlights in your eyes, and making everyone come out with their hands up.
