  • Online / parent taught driver's ed for teens?

We've been looking into the online driver's ed courses for teens. She has already been driving around local with a parent, we just need to get it done and official.

Any love/hate for any course in particular?

My oldest is 14, I didn't realize you could do online like that now, but I hate all the shitty drivers out there so I think I'd rather teach him myself.

I'm planning on teaching my oldest in about 8 years or so. But one thing I've always thought would help would be taking him to an autocross event so he can see what happens when he pushes his car too far braking, or accelerating and especially turning.

Anyone know of a company that maybe simulates rain and lets them wipe out in a long wide parking lot? I think that kind of experience would be huge.

Edit: Never mind - apparently TMS has one just what I am looking for:

Skills Teen Driving School is a high performance 1 or 2 day driving school that gives teens the knowledge and experience to succeed in emergency situations

the classes are just for the written part . still has to pass a driving test. i taught my godson to drive but once he left the gate he drove like a fucking moron . you can lead them to water but sometimes it's better to hold them under for a while .

Just assumed everyone did that by default.

We used Aceable for our son. Easy and straight forward. "written" part all online and then me as the instructor. Pretty painless.
