    Howdy,

Seeking some advice. My apartment complex put a notice on my mustang today which advised it will be getting towed on Monday (9/13) due to the condition it is in. I will be calling the complex tomorrow to see what they require in order to stop it. I wanted to check all my options out before spending money that I do not have right now.

What is the possibility of the govt doing another cash for clunkers?

I would hate to sell it for pennies on the dollar right now and next month or year or whenever, they offer one of these sweet deals.

I am in Pueblo CO, but wondering if they have some kind of "we buy ugly houses" but for cars options. I would hate to resort to this option but seems like they buy stuff pretty quickly and again, I am limited on my time frame which sucks!!!

Another option is spending a bunch of money and having a shop fix it up and getting it to where it makes the apartment is happy but I do have a limited time due to the threat of towing on Monday.

Only other option I can think of is calling storage unit and seeing if they will allow me to get it towed over and paying a per month charge to keep it stored outside.

Just seeing if anyone else has any further ideas. I am just mentally exhausted as of late dealing with work stress, my mother passing and other life crap. When life gives you lemons, I have no clue UGHHHHHHH

    Sincerely,
    Jonathan

Yea, I agree. Maybe we’ll have another cash for clunckers as the government pushes towards EVs, but I think that’s quite a ways off.

          I couldn't sleep, ugh

Do you think if they were to have some kind of cash for clunkers, would be within like 6 months or year or even longer?

I know but you could always work out shipping. I just know as many as he sells he could always use one to fix or for parts. ?

Don't spend more money on it, just sell it and be done with hassle. Spending money fixing it up to placate your complex or storing it is just throwing good money after bad IMHO.

                          Years, if ever.

Cash For Clunkers was a touted as a way to get people in more fuel efficient cars (there were rules around age and mpg of eligible vehicles). Since then the ICE car market hasn't made any huge leaps in efficiency, and infrastructure, supply chain, etc isn't ready for a mass exodus from ICE to EV, which is what the next version of a similar program would likely focus on.

Beyond that, the real impetus for the program was to provide economic stimulus after the 2008 crash (the "great recession"), and we're not currently in a position where something like that is needed.
