Is there anyway to search a phone number to find out the owner?

Pretty sure my ex is texting me threats but It's not coming from her number. She's also texting friends of mine saying that if they don't stop communication with me I'll never see my sons again. Is there anyway to track down who owns that number? Should I hire a P.I. or something? If it is my ex's number I need to prove it in court somehow.

Google will frequently tell you who the current carrier is and then you simply subpoena the information from them. You could also just post the number here and all of us can call it at a random hours and talk nonsense.

Is your ex an attractive woman? She sounds crazy if she's doing what you're thinking she's doing and as I like to say, nothing fucks like crazy.

Did some digging today and the messages are coming from an app called TextMe . Apparently the only way to get the user info would be a court subpoena.
