it just seems like Texas Dealerships are all in on it together, and suck.

Being a part of buying three cars now out of state, i'd say there are some good ones out there in Arkansas, Missouri, and even Michigan.

I'll also say Park Place Mercedes/Porsche by Love Field were quick and easy, and had their shit together when my wife bought her car recently. I let her go negotiate on her own, and when I got there to sign some stuff, there was no tom foolery.

Mine wasn't too terrible. Still longer than what I wanted to deal with. Was there for 3 hours total from getting there, paperwork, detailing, and driving off. Let them know I wasn't BS'ing. Didn't sign any papers before I got my trade in value back. Made sure I got my keys back after they did test drive. I was pushing them and they knew I wasn't having it. Usually get a Ford car from my cousin, which when I do, usually under 2 hours I'm out. But, yea heard many stories of shit they pull to keep you there, or offer something else that you're not looking for, etc, etc.

I already had a good trade in value from my cousin, but he just didn't have what I wanted and neither did his sister dealerships. I give me copy of value. At Autonation ford in Ft Worth, they low balled me by 2.5k. I was like, here is my value from other dealer. If you don't meet this, I walk and thanks for your time. I already had my keys, no forms I filled out. They came back with 500 less, but they did accept Xplan, which other dealers would not, so it worked out way better.

Yep. I looked at getting the RS in Kansas and further north before i found mine in OKC. The dealer network down here were terrible on dealing with a hot car like the RS and are all 10 times worse with the GT500.

What did dealers down here want for the new Mach1?

Fuck dealers that do this, but some asshole is going to pay it, so they will continue to do it.

agreed... I'll never understand how someone is willing to pay over MSRP for a "Market adjustment" just to be able to get one of the "first" units of something.

5-10k (Town East said expect 15+)

But outside the metroplex, sticker and better (by a few hundred bucks) can be had.

Even GT500s out of state for sticker are out there.

Ever hear there is a sucker born every minute? More people than ever = more suckers than ever. Porsche is working to stop sending cool cars to these dealers and not sell them to customers that flip them for profit too.

Typically I refuse to pay sticker or above for anyting but I screwed myself because of that once. I wanted a Ford GT, had the cash, and should have paid their asking price.
