Everyone here should care about this. It's a big deal. Guys we shouldn't even have the damnable road tax (registration) much less front license plates. Every single one of those kinds of shits is another chip away at your freedom.

Now what happened to all that talk about doing away with the "safety" inspection, aka another tax because we're leeches. I recall hearing that they were thinking about getting rid of that too. But this was back in 2018 or some shit. Any chance of that ever happening?

He was accurate you know, at least it use to be that way, I haven't looked it up in a while. Plus, I mean its a Buick, he was trying to keep from having to tow it later when you broke down.

I guess you have to trailer it to the car show or shop according to that moron.

I have a 66 plate on the back of mine. Haven’t run a front plate in many years and it’s been legal to do so the whole time. It’s attached to an antique plate on paper. Buy the antique registration and then assign the YOM plate to it.

But yeah, the front plate law has been lame for a long time. I don’t mind them issuing two, but the front should be optional. Most don’t care one bit, but for the enthusiast crowd, both new and classic, it’s an unnecessary asswhip.

I'm all for having front plates as well as the RMP Act. Screw you all

SEMA STATEMENT ON THE STATUS OF THE RECOGNIZING THE PROTECTION OF MOTORSPORTS (RPM) ACT DIAMOND BAR, Calif. (Dec. 22, 2022) – SEMA and PRI must share that despite strong Congressional backing and extraordinary support from the racing community, the 2021-2022 Congressional session is ending without passage of the RPM Act.

Good deal, I've got a 72 Chevelle and YOM plates and would like to use them. I'm in same crowd as the one plate mafia, however, on the Chevelle I'll run two. The bumper is made for it and it looks a little goofy without a front plat IMO.

So isn't the reasoning for the front plate due to the laser speed guns? I seem to remember that being an issue last time this came up.

I mean I don't have a front plate on my motorcycle so why would a car need one?

Do they still sell those Phaser jammers that mount around your front plate? Seems like I would get one if I had to have a front plate, thus negating the laser access to the front plate.

Yep, 5 letter white on black plate from 1966.

I actually have both, but the front is really in rough shape from being on the front of my car for 13 years. It needs some restoration.

Rear is in great condition and I don't plan on running the front anymore, especially with the GT350 valence.

I have never heard that one. From what I remembered it was to make it easier to catch people on camera in criminal acts. Two opportunities to get a plate not one.

Not only that but exhibition seems like racing to me.
