I highly doubt that is the case, based on the not so huge amount of time I have spent BS'ing with Jose.

Maybe Jose et al just have a different vision than what DFWStangs was (and this site is) and they are taking this opportunity to build what they want.. Of course I'm just speculating. I know that Jose had told me in the past that there were changes he wanted to make, just hadn't taken the time to do it.

he decided to build a new site as soon as the purchase of stangs was announced...he didn't just sit around and wait to see what everyone else was going to do. all of this has been gone over before, but jose wants his own site, and i don't blame him for that.

BTW, I guarantee that this board will slow down too, regardless of whether or not a new board is created. There has been so much activity because of everything that has been going on. The dust will settle at some point.

Maybe Jose saw a community beyond the classification of “mustang”, adding the motorcycle/detailing forums (as an example), and the amount of people and even advertisers outside the mustang community.

This is speculation on my part, but I know he’s talked several times about wanting to expand the horizons of what was once a “mustang” board.
