I'm honest with myself too and everyone around me, sure the money would be hard not to take but I still wouldn't go about it the way Chris did. Yes it was his choice but anyone with integrity would have said to themselves "before I just up and sell the site I should probably consult the people that have been a part of it for so long and let them know how I feel about it". The fact that he didn't do it further proves that it was all about the money.

I've been around for it all as well and the last time i saw Chris was late 2004 when he came by my dads shop for an A/C compressor for his coupe. before that back in the late 90s early 2000's he was around more.

If it's the well being of my family versus the business or my job, then yes I would take the interest of my family above all that. But there is still a correct way of doing things... Chris just handled the situation badly.

Would he have lost some money notifying Jose and the membership? Possibly, but it is still the right thing to do. Money is not the be all end all, and I'm sure his family would not find itself starving if he had lost a few bucks on the sale.

There's a right way to handle the selling of the old site, and many wrong ways.

Chris chose one of the wrong ways, but that way happened to maximize what he got out of the sale. The problem is that by doing it that way he fucked jose and the entire membership.

I guess that money is more valuable to chris than old friendships. I never figured chris to be a sell out kind of guy.
