Fuck you chris!! You could have given Jose a fucking chance to buy the site... I know tsp didn't generate the traffic stangs did, but I had to pay for domain name, hosting and etc, and I didn't have to sell out to the fucking canadians!!!

I understand Chris' perspective, and why he decided to sell the site... I do think things should have been handled differently and he should of declined selling the site if he could not discuss the sale with the members/users prior to the sale.

I don't necessarily have a problem with the advertisement, but it did seem that Autoguide promised a seamless changeover with little to no change, and immediately started putting ad's all over the site... to top it off they alienated the site's loyal followers and the drastic change over without any prior communication doomed the entire transaction. I think all this would have gone down much better if chris had posted the potential sale, posted his concerns and reason for selling the site, and solicited feedback from the members prior to selling it off. Chris might have been the majority financial backer of the site, but we all were owners of what made the site what it is... you can't just make a wholesale change and expect a perfect transition.

I like it here now, it really does seem to recapture what made the old site great, and I have seen alot of members return that had been absent or silent. I don't plan on going back, but it will always have a fond place in my heart.

Thanks Chris and Jose for everything you did, but times have changed and it's time to move on to bigger and better things.

u put it the best. He should have at least given a heads up so maybe Jose or someone else would take it over. Oh well thugs change and now we have a new site but we are still a great family together

That pretty much sums it up.

I don't have a problem with his motivations for selling the site, and if he had posted a thread stating them, we would have understood. I do have a problem with how the sale was handled and his exclusion of the site membership. I also have a problem with his attitude about how the site was "his" and that no one else should have had input in the sale but himself. That's where he went wrong... should have been handled differently.
