Looks like those trade in values are going to get even shittier alongside pre-owned sales prices. Pre-owned values are plummeting:

I went to Moritz last night thinking about buying a Gladiator. According to the sales manager their website prices are wrong. I tried to work out a deal on one they had on their site for $36,680 but they wanted over $40k for it. I just checked and the same one went up $2,786 over night. So they're still advertising it for less than they offered it to me for but closer. They tried talking me into a demo they've had for a while but with 5k miles and the wrong color.
They didn't seem too desperate to sell anything. There were only 2-3 sales people and a hand full of customers.

Sounds like they are hoping to make up for the lack of volume buy gouging those in a position to buy.Originally posted by BP View PostI went to Moritz last night thinking about buying a Gladiator. I thought FCA was allowing 100% online purchases now? I would raise holy hell if they didn't honor online pricingOriginally posted by BP View PostI went to Moritz last night thinking about buying a Gladiator. I don't know what they are thinking. I'm guessing their sales people were mostly furloughed and are getting unemployment, or maybe they got the retention loans from the SBA so most of them are sitting at home getting paid. The two sales people I saw were both working multiple deals so they are probably doing okay. Normally there are 10-12 guys sitting around doing follow ups.Originally posted by Big A View PostSounds like they are hoping to make up for the lack of volume buy gouging those in a position to buy.
I might talk to Classic in Arlington, they seem to have the most inventory and competitive prices. Meador and Autonation have a bunch as well but the Meador guys seem sleazy and I know Autonation can be.

When I bought my Ram I learned that the internet price was every single rebate lumped into that and I didn't qualify but for like 3 out of the 10. I almost walked, but ended up paying well below sticker by the time was all said and done. The guy worked with me and knew I didn't need to buy anything and was willing to walk away. Worked out well for me, and then a week later the country shut down.Originally posted by BP View PostI went to Moritz last night thinking about buying a Gladiator.
