I like the Ford's looks better, but haven't driven either one. But why in the fuck would you buy a pickup truck for commuting?

I like the Ford more, plus their trucks just keep getting better and better. I've been a long time fan of Chevy trucks, but they want way too much money for them!
      Wanna see my care face???

Having driven both for an extended period of time: Ford

Especially if it's just a commuter, it's a more comfortable truck all around.

I don't like driving in traffic in a car, I like being able to see over other cars and I just like trucks. The reason for the Limited or Denali is if I'm gonna spend a couple hours a day in it, might as well be comfortable.

            Ford.

I bought a 2010 FX2 S-Crew, I love it. Not big baller, gas guzzler like you but way better truck for the money than any comparable GM.

Anybody that believes GM builds quality, I have a Saturn suv I'll set you up with. Typical GM junk. Transmission has never shifted right, peaks oil, antifreeze, and trans fluid @ 50k miles. Also the wiper assembly fell apart before that requiring an assembly jig to get the timing right. Saturn was unable to correct, as their manuals are the same as Mitchell and Chilton, and show the assembly incorrect. I bought it used, less than 1 year old from Saturn. If it had been new, would have made the lemon list several times over. Wanna know how much it depreciated the day Junky Motors abandoned Saturn?

And the mileage? It's supposed to get 26 hwy, won't get 20 mpg @ 55, much less hwy speeds.

You buy a lower end car you get lower end quality.

I like both GM and Ford, if Ford hadn't made the Raptor I probably would have bought a Denali. We have been running GM trucks at work since 05 and currently have 7 with over 100k miles both diesel and gas engines. They have held up very well and these truck see more abuse running around the oilfield than someones personal truck would ever see.

Between those two trucks I would go with the Denali.

If you talk on the phone alot or listen to an ipod in the truck, get the Ford. You will be sold on the Sync system. I love mine!

Which one has the better warranty? I'm guessing fords are still 3/36 "bumper to bumper" with the 5/60 powertrain. Not sure what the GM is. They're both nice trucks, but both are so "well" equipped that there's a lot of shit to break. The only thing that I know for sure is that the 6.2 gets HORRIBLE gas mileage compared to the 5.0.
