I’ve got a tire machine at the house so I can swap them out.

So this thread got me thinking and last week I stumbled upon this ancient tire machine covered in grime for like $100. Thought about it for a split second and was like fuck that. That thing looked like it was waiting to remove some of my digits. Plus, I'm currently in the process of getting things off the garage floor and onto the walls

So you have both a tire remover/installer and a separate balancer???

Less than $60, an hour of my time and a little sweat and I’ve got 2 new working/communicating tpms sensors and the wife doesn’t have a tire light on. Thanks philsanity for the relearn info

No problem. If you have one sensor that's not working. It's likely the others will soon not work.

To save some time. Just dismount the top bead and replace the sensor. Then reset the bead. You don't have to balance the tire because you never took the tire off. I do that all the time.
