yeah i'm seriously rethinking the move to Oklahoma .
You can, but it would have to be in the east side around the lakes, Broken Bow, Hugo or Pine Creek area. There doesn't seem to be a lot of tornadic activity around that area. Anything on the plains or west side, kiss your shit goodbye...

Sirens going off here. City actually called the house phone to recommend taking shelter. I just got the email notification for the voicemail they left. Nixle is blowing up my cell with severe weather/tornado warning text. Geez. I guess it's a good thing, but I got the point from the initial text.
Right now we have sideways rain, thunder, quarter hail, and strong wind gust. Supposedly, there is a rain wrapped wall cloud formation in the area. No actual tornado.
However, it's passing through pretty quick heading NE. We'll survive. It's just a severe thunderstorm people, not the Apocalypse. I'm beginning to loathe TV meteorologists. I think they do more harm than good. Some stations have guys that are more staid and matter of fact in their reporting, but too many others sensationalize these weather events to the point of being ridiculous.
