Camping in Oklahoma

One thing I will add that I thought was odd (at least coming from a Texas State Park camper) is that they charge per person instead of per site. So theoretically, when I go camping with my friends, we could all have our own personal camp site and take up a lot of room and still not cost any differently if we had maxed out the capacity they allow per camp site.

I'll be camping at Lake Murray in a couple of weeks and hope this fucking rain has stopped by then.

I live in OKC, but we just started camping this year so I am not familiar with camping sites around here. We are going to try to camp at Lake Arcadia in Edmond sometime this spring so you may want to check it out.

A good friend of mine camps at Lake Thunderbird in Norman every summer. He seems to like it. I think we'll try to go with him this summer.

As far as I know, Bricktown is nice to walk around and there are some good restaurants down there. If you like to gamble we casinos around. Riverwind in Norman is a good one.

Turner Falls.

Used to camp at this spot when it was available. The sound of the falls would drown out the people noise. Only catch was the outlook spot with the magnified scope was across the river to the east. If your DGAF is strong, it's a great spot.
