You think its funny but it happens all the time. Our insured gets pissed because the other carrier denies due to word vs word, no witnesses, police report doesnt help in a word vs word situation. You're out $500 for your deductible plus money for a rental because you didnt want to spend a few extra dollars a month for coverage. Claim goes to arb and no one wins because not enough evidence to support who was at fault.
Cant tell you how many times this happens at work and I get an ear full about it from the customer...
