How can an officer that is not in Texas and not a Texas police officer enforce Texas laws? He isn't licensed in that state and even if he was somehow, he would be just a wee little bit out of jurisdiction.

Read the thread, I shouldn't even have to explain. A Utah officer is enforcing Utah laws on Utah roadways, on a vehicle that just happens to have Texas plates on it.

No no... go ahead and tell me how Utah police can enforce Texas laws in Utah... because I said the opposite.

            Are you drunk already?

              Wow.

He's not enforcing Texas law. When you enter the state of Utah, you're doing so under the supposition that you will adhere to all state laws, including tint regulations.

If you have ILLEGAL tint on your vehicle, it doesn't matter where the hell you come from, it's ILLEGAL. You may be able to pass it by a judge on a technicality, but it's a completely ticketable offense.
For one, they cannot enforce ALL laws from each and every state, because some laws different. They are not licensed to enforce every state law from each and every state, just the ones in Utah. As mentioned in a thread before, they are not even licensed to enforce FEDERAL laws, just their state laws. For them to enforce the 25% law, it would have to be in the Utah law books, which it isn't, because their law requirement is 43%. Let us all know how they can enforce both. They have no more right to enforce a Texas law than I do.

                Have another drink on me.

Do you realize 25% is a darker tint than 43%?

Lower number is less light passing through --> = darker tint.

                  Get it yet?

You can lead a dumbass to the answer, but you can't make him grasp it.

You can enforce any law that is on the books in the area you are in (State/local law). If it's against a federal law, you can be pretty certain it is against a state law.

For instance, if I see a car with MA plates, and the driver isn't wearing a seatbelt, I can still cite the driver for that infraction.
