DALLAS- A Dallas police officer has been caught on tape allegedly beating a motorist.
It happened three weeks ago in the Northeast Division.
Sources told News 8 a white officer is seen on the tape beating a black motorist who was handcuffed.
The video reportedly showed the officer beating the man with an object. Sources also said after taking a look at the video, the suspect may have resisted arrest, but that it's also possible excessive force was used.
Other officers came forward and told supervisors about the incident. The case is under criminal investigation.
The officer is expected to be arrested as early as Wednesday.
Last year, the department fired three officers, who were each indicted and fired for a similar incident where a black motorist was beaten.
