I was just going to post this too, CASH only. I was in there a few months back talking shit to the owners wife about having to bring cash, I always have to stop at an ATM. It's fucking annoying, but they do have some good meat. And yes the Fajitas have to sit for a day or two to let the marinade sink in the meat.

      Oh really?

I guess I'll have to stop by and see what's up!

This place is spectacular. They did have the fajita burgers everyday but you have to give them some advance now. Nothing like fajita meat jammed into beef.
        Whos your Daddy?

So you'll have to let it sit for a while before cooking. Not sure if this is better than others that have it marinading earlier but I got tired of the marinade from Michoacana and prefer this one instead. Also the burgers need to be pre-ordered like a week in advanced as they only make so many.
Yeah I like their fajita better than others...and they trim it really well..That with beans and flour tortillas always hits the spot.

La Altena is the NW corner of O'Connor and Rochelle, in the shopping center behind the Chevron. La Nueva Puntada is on Grauwyler, half a block down and across the street from Captain Nemo's. If you go to LNP, you can get them hot right off the tortilla machines.

But as mentioned above, La Altena gets hot deliveries daily and they keep them in a warmer until they run out, and they tend to run out around 1-2pm on weekends.

If you swing out this way and don't call me for a beer I'll hide your crutches, bitch! I'm less than 5 minutes from La Altena and less than 10 from LNP.

La Altena used to be on the other side of O'Connor, in the shopping center where Patel Brothers grocery is (used to be a Minyard's). It was a tiny little place. Almost like a hallway. They just moved across the street to a larger place about a year ago or so.
